PRINCETON, INDIANA, FEBRUARY 16, 2011 –Onsite Occupational Health & Safety, Inc. (Onsite OHS) today announced that it has received a contract from DynCorp International (DI) to provide pre-deployment medical/physical qualification services for candidates assigned to various overseas locations, including Iraq and Afghanistan.
After a full and open competition the multi-year, fixed-price contract was awarded on December 15, 2010, and services commenced on January 31, 2011, allowing for a transitional period to ensure a smooth mobilization into DI’s Fort Worth, Texas Deployment Center.
DI is a global government services contractor working to support U.S. national security and foreign policy objectives worldwide. The Fort Worth, TX Deployment Center provides services to civilian contractors who are deploying to support a variety of Federal Government programs throughout the globe.
Under the terms of this contract, Onsite OHS will ensure that each candidate has completed the required medical examination, lab testing, and vaccinations required by various governmental agencies. These requirements are different for each agency, and also depend on the geographic location of the final assignment.
“Onsite OHS takes this responsibility very seriously,” said Kyle Johnson, President and CEO of Onsite OHS. “All of our executive staff, as well as our field management personnel, are well-versed and experienced in providing these services and are uniquely qualified to meet the demands of DynCorp International and the government. Operating in austere environments puts physical and psychological stressors on employees that normally don’t exist here in the United States. This makes the pre-deployment process an important part of ensuring the health and well-being of the personnel while they are operating overseas.”
Onsite OHS is a veteran-owned and HUBZone small business. The total value of the contract was not disclosed.
