MVEs to be recognized in the month of May to help honor Armed Forces Day, May 21, 2016

PRINCETON, IN – Onsite Occupational Health and Safety, Inc. (Onsite OHS) has once again been named a finalist for CivilianJobs.com's prestigious "Most Valuable Employers for Military" Award.

The CivilianJobs.com Most Valuable Employers (MVE) for Military award serves to help military-experienced job seekers identify the top employers to target for civilian careers. MVEs are selected annually based on those employers whose recruiting, training and retention plans best serve military service members and veterans.

As a Veteran myself, I take pride in being able to offer an exciting career opportunity to a fellow Veteran,” said Kyle G. Johnson, President & Chief Executive Officer. “Several of our clinics provide medical care to Veterans. By having Veterans on staff, it creates an instant bond/relationship between the provider and the Veteran. It takes their care to another level. It’s a Win-Win.”

As a small business owned and operated by a Veteran, Onsite OHS grants a Veteran’s preference during its recruiting process whenever possible. During the company’s more than eight years in business, military veterans have accounted for up to 45 percent of the company’s full-time staff.

Since 2014, Onsite OHS has been awarded four separate contracts from the U.S. Department of Veterans Administration’s Veteran Health Administration (VHA) to operate five of Community-Based Outpatient Clinics in Tennessee, New York, Mississippi and Arkansas. These clinics are solely dedicated to providing Veterans the most common outpatient services, including health and wellness visits, without the hassle of visiting a larger VA medical center.

“Since the MVE recognition was first offered in 2009, an increasing number of businesses are giving military veterans the opportunity to enter the corporate workforce,” said Garrett Reed, Branch Manager of CivilianJobs.com. “What distinguished the entries this year was the quality of the finalist submissions and the variety of programs they are using to attract and retain military job seekers. I want to personally thank and congratulate every finalist for their efforts to launch and expand their veteran hiring initiatives.”

The 2016 Most Valuable Employers (MVE) for Military was open to all U.S.-based companies. The finalists were selected based on surveys in which employers outlined their recruiting, training and retention plans that best serve military service members and veterans.

Winners will be selected from this pool of finalist companies and will be announced in May 2016.

In addition to being recognized in the May issue of Military Transition News, CivilianJobs.com's world-wide military base newspaper, winning employers will also be displayed on the CivilianJobs.com web site.

Onsite OHS was named both a finalist and a winner of the award back in 2014.
