Achieves 'Certificate of Distinction' for Health Care Staffing Services

PRINCETON, IN - Onsite Occupational Health and Safety, Inc. (Onsite OHS), announced today that it has achieved The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval® for Health Care Staffing Services certification for another two years.

The Joint Commission's certification program offers an independent, comprehensive evaluation of a staffing firm's abilities to provide competent staffing services. The Joint Commission is the nation's oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care.

"I am pleased that The Joint Commission's review and evaluation has led to our re-certification," said Kyle G. Johnson, President & Chief Executive Officer of Onsite OHS. "What I like about The Joint Commission review process is that it is a 'surprise' inspection. You have to be ready all the time. I am very proud of my team for doing so well on our first re-certification. Additionally, the re-certification and Certificate of Distinction provides our clients with an even greater level of confidence that Onsite OHS can deliver quality patient care."

Joint Comission CertificateThe Joint Commission's Certificate of Distinction assures customers, staff and other stakeholders that Onsite OHS is fully meeting the health care quality and safety needs for which medical providers are responsible.

In late February, Onsite OHS underwent an unannounced onsite compliance review that assessed how the company determined the qualifications and competency of healthcare providers, how those providers are placed, and how the overall performance is monitored.

Onsite OHS first achieved the Gold Seal Approval™ for Health Care Staffing Services two years ago, in March 2012.

The Joint Commission developed the Health Care Staffing Services Certification program back in 2006 to meet quality oversight needs for the temporary medical staffing industry. These shortages force health care organizations to fill positions with temporary staff provided by staffing firms, which are not subject to any quality oversight mechanism. The certification also helps differentiate health care staffing companies by ensuring appropriate and proper procedures are in place for credentialing personnel.
